Days Inn

As a chain of independently owned and operated hotels, Days Inn strives — as their motto states — to provide “The best value under the sun” for it’s customers in locations all over the world. A familiar name to most, this chain offers travelers affordable rooms with various amenities for their guests.

Unfortunately, one thing that some guests find in addition to their free breakfasts and Wi-Fi connections are bed bugs hiding out in the rooms at some of their properties. We’ve handled several cases for clients who discovered bed bugs in their Days Inn hotel rooms. Bed bugs are sometimes difficult to spot to the untrained eye, but are often found in hotel rooms due to insufficient cleaning practices or lack of training by hotel personnel.

Days Inn Since most of the properties are independently owned franchises, we’ve had to deal with many different insurance carriers and third party administrators in handling these claims.

There’s not a one-size-fits-all way to deal with locations in the brand, which is why it’s helpful to have an experienced bed bug attorney working with you to get fair compensation for your bed bug injuries. In most cases, we’ve worked with the franchisee to reach a settlement so that a lawsuit doesn’t need to be filed.

Days Inn While bed bug infestations have been found in some Days Inn properties, it’s important to remember that not all properties are the same. We have, however, received multiple complaints about a couple of Days Inn locations.

Our team of bed bug lawyers have successfully helped clients receive compensation or reimbursement for the following:

  • Bodily injuries
  • Medical bills and expenses
  • Mental distress
  • Lost wages
  • Discarded personal items
  • Pest control expenses
  • Alternative accommodations
  • Reasonable out of pocket expenses

If you are thinking about filing a bed bug claim against, or have been denied compensation by Days Inn for the injuries and other losses which you’ve sustained, we’re ready to help you with all aspects of the claim. It doesn’t matter where you’re at in the United States; our team is able to assist with claims in all parts of the country. 1. I stayed 3 nights in Days Inn Shreveport, Louisiana and I notice that I start itching and notice that I had red bumps all over my body. My friend asked me what did I eat that I should not have eaten that I am allegoric to, there was nothing. So I could not figure it out so later we look and pull back the cover and look closer and notice that was bugs, we notify the front desk and they move us into another room. They said they will notify the manger about this.

  3. I slept in a Days Inn located in Bryan, Texas. The next morning had some itching on my face, as the day went on I had more wells and itching in other areas. We noticed a strange looking bug in my bed but just swept it off and didn’t think any more about it. Until all of the pieces started coming together and the bug was identified.

  4. My boyfriend, son and nephew and I checked in Day Inn in South Carolina on 3/2/2015. Next morning we all were itching, didn’t think nothing of it just took baths. 3/4/2015 my boyfriend and I checked back in and when it was time to go get the kids, I woke up due to itching and eye witness the bugs in the bed next to my boyfriend. I jump up yell to get him up and I immediately grab my phone recorded a bed bug that was left freely, I called the front desk and the clerk stated that I needed to speak with a manager and that the manager. I was told the manager will not arrive till 9:00 am 3/4/2015. I didn’t check out I kept my keys since check out time was not till 11am, and left so that I could come back to speak with the manager and show him the video. In the meantime my boyfriend and I started feeling knots on ours skins. I then began to snap pictures. The knots were reddish and itchy, and seem as if the knots started to spread. As of now we are waiting to speak with the manager.

  5. I stayed at the Day’s INN in Louisville, Shivley and was eaten alive by bed bugs. I have over 100 bites on my body, even had to go to hospital. I was not sure what the culprit was until one day I got up and I literally saw the bed bugs. It was the most disgusting thing I had ever seen. When I smashed them, the bug bursted into pure blood. I immediately called the Manager up who witnessed the smashed bloody bed bugs and the numerous bites on my body and he refunded my 8 day stay and I immediately checked out even though I was not due to check out yet. I am now on 4 diffrent medications, I had allergic reactions to the bites, could be because I have autoimmune disorder. It was two of us in the room – both were bitten up, mines worse. We took pictures of everything. Now, i am very uncomfortable, having nighmares, panic attacks and my entire body hurts and is covered with bites and allergic reactions…. we had to throw out all of our luggage and all the new clothes we purchased to go on this trip. It was a total disaster!!!

  7. I went to Seaside Heights, NJ this past weekend and I stayed at the Days Inn Hotel for 1 night (Sat-Sun). I just got back yesterday night. Since we got there around 2pm on Saturday we spent the rest of the afternoon and evening at the beach and the boardwalk. So, we didn’t get back to the hotel to go to sleep until 1:00am. We stayed up half an hr more getting settled in. So my husband, daughter, and I didn’t fall asleep until around 1:30-2am. I woke up around 3:30am because my arm was itching really bad. I went to the bathroom and notice I had big bums on my arms that looked like mosquito bites or bed bug bites. I wasn’t sure if it was a mosquito but i thought it was either a mosquito or bed bugs. I react the same to both bites. I decided that I would go back to sleep. I woke up half an hour later and I had more bites. I went to the bathroom took pictures of my bites and went downstairs to tell the front desk lady. She try to argue with me that it wasn’t bed bugs because my bites didn’t look like bed bug bites and there would have to be blood on the sheets. So, I went back up stairs and started searching for the bugs and I found 5 of them and I killed them all on the sheets so that they can see i wasn’t lying. Then i took pictures and went to show her. By then it was 4:30am and she told me that all the other rooms were booked and she couldn’t help me at all until her manager comes in at 8am. So, I had no choice but to go upstairs and just sit there with the bed bugs. My husband and I waited until the manager came in at 8:oo am and we both went downstairs to tell the manager what happen. He didnt believe us either after i showed him all the pictures on my phone that i had took. So, my husband went back upstairs found a bed bug on the bed picked it up and took it downstairs and showed it to the manager and he was shocked and killed it in front of us. He apologized and told us he would refund us the money back and that was it. I am planning on going to the doctors today because one of the bites got really swollen.
